Introducing Leslie Hunter (1937)

A short account of the adventurous life and work of the prominent Scots artist and bohemian, who died in 1931. Since his death there has been a growing appreciation of Leslie Hunter’s paintings and drawings.

The author, several years ago, gave up a successful career in medicine to become an art dealer and is now a director of the Lefevre gallery in London. He enjoyed the personal friendship of the artist and was in constant touch with him in the later years.

Important early work on the famed Scottish Colourist.

Condition: pale blue un-clipped dust-wrapper a little worn to edges and tanned to spine. Previous owner’s inscription to front endpaper. Endpapers toned. Slight spotting to prelims and to fore-edge.
