Illustrated by Maxfield Parrish. Contains 8 colour plates and an additional one at the rear of the book which became the cover illustration for the American edition. Decorated end papers. Original red cloth with gilt design and titling. Condition: red cloth boards faded, worn to extremities and heavily faded to spine. Spine a little shaken and both front and rear hinges weak. Additional plate to rear detached from binding. Endpapers toned. Lacks tissue guards.  A good working copy.
