Print artist Jonas Ranson creates bold, geometric designs that have a remarkably sensuous texture and delicacy of appearance.

Ranson’s pieces are achieved through treatment in digital conversion as well as the basic CMYK colour separation process, enabling him to take advantage of the greater ease and flexibility between the digitally processed images with which he works and their transference into the screen print process.

Drawing forms the basis of Ranson’s work – the initial designs are worked, developed, and transferred to acetate positives through digital means. Comprised of vertical and horizontal lines and loose and uneven grids without a focal point, they have the potential to extend limitlessly in any direction, meaning that each print is different.
