Robert Bevan

Robert Bevan was a British painter associated with the Camden Town Group, a group of artists who were active in London in the early 20th century. He was born in Hove, England in 1865 and studied at the Westminster School of Art and the Académie Julian in Paris.

Bevan is best known for his landscape paintings, which often depicted the rural and working-class areas surrounding London. He was interested in capturing the effects of light and atmosphere on the landscape, and his paintings frequently feature bold, bright colors and thick, gestural brushstrokes. Bevan was also a skilled printmaker and produced a number of etchings and lithographs throughout his career.
