S R Badmin

Stanley Badmin (1906-1989) was a British artist known for his illustrations of the English countryside and rural life. He was born in Birmingham and studied at Birmingham College of Art and the Royal College of Art in London.

Badmin worked in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, pen and ink, and printmaking. He was particularly known for his illustrations of books and magazines, including “The Countryman” and “The Shell Guides”, a series of travel guides that focused on rural areas of England.

Badmin’s illustrations were characterized by their attention to detail and their ability to capture the essence of rural life. He was particularly skilled at capturing the changing seasons and the natural beauty of the English countryside.
