Cedric Morris and Christopher Wood: A Forgotten Friendship

When Christopher Wood died a tragic and untimely death at the age of 29 in 1930, his friend and fellow painter Cedric Morris had recently moved from the parties and exhibition openings of London in the 1920s to the Suffolk countryside where he lived until 1982. Nathaniel Hepburn, curator of the exhibition which this book accompanies, has researched private correspondence, personal diaries and archive writings, to tell this story of a forgotten friendship.
