Signed and dated by Burra to front endpaper: “E. Burra 1923”. “The project of publishing monographs on contemporary British artists has more than once been suggested, but has not, so far, been seriously entertained” writes Rutherston. Editor’s Note. Essay. 35 Plates , including some fold-outs. Condition: Toning to endpapers. Slight spotting to top edge of text-block. Small stain to bottom edge of front board. Boards a little rubbed to extremities. Dust-wrapper has some small segments of loss to head of spine and top left corner of it’s front panel, otherwise very good.
