Francisco Goya’s private albums consist of eight collections of drawings created over three decades. These works explore a wide range of themes, from satire and societal critique to intimate reflections and fantastical scenes. After Goya’s death, the albums were dismantled, and their pages were dispersed globally. Notable themes include the Spanish Inquisition, human suffering, and biting critiques of the aristocracy and clergy.
