Inscribed by Read to the former editor and book designer at Thames and Hudson: “For Pat Lowman gratefully, admiringly, Herbert Read”. Condition: yellow dust wrapper toned and spotted to verso. Slight spotting to endpapers, prelims, and edges of text-block, otherwise very good. Pat Lowman was the main book designer and editor at Thames & Hudson. She was friends with Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Oskar Kokoschka and many other major artists of the time.
