An excellent pair autograph letters, both written and signed by John Piper, regarding payment for reproductions of his paintings. Provenance: Dr Andrew Revai, founder of the Pallas Gallery, fine art publishers and Frank Gadsby, managing director after Revai’s death until it ceased trading in the late 1980s.

Plus the Catalogue to an exhibition of Piper’s paintings, drawings, prints and illustrated books. With an introduction and other notes by Rigby Graham. “This catalogue makes no claim to completeness, nor to scholarship, nor to impartiality. It is subjective rather than objective, but it does attempt however, to set the exhibited work which John Piper, the Marlborough Galleries and others have lent, against some aspects of the background of John Piper’s work which may be less well known to the visitors to this gallery.” Condition: Slight tear to top of spine and some light rubbing to extremities.
