Reynold Arnould Automobiles (1955) (Exhibition Poster)

Original poster for a show of the French cubist and abstract painter, Reynold Arnould. On 26 October 1955, three weeks after the opening of a Motor Show introducing the public to the new Citroën DS, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris opened a show of Reynold Arnould’s work on the theme of the automobile. “It’s the new still life of our time. I tried to poetize its lines with their astonishing plastic possibilities”, he said. Condition: some faint surface wrinkles and a small closed tear to bottom edge, otherwise fine.
