Sculptured Memorials and Headstones Designed and Carved in Sculptors’ Studios in British Stones (1938)

Inaugurated by a small group of artists in 1934 on a very modest scale our effort to recapture something of the artistic feeling and fine taste which made our churchyards beautiful 200 years ago. With reproductions of headstones, crosses, plaques, mural tablets, and fonts by Sculptors such as Eric Gill and Gilbert Ledward, Edwin Lutyens and more. Condition: grey cloth boards a little tanned with some faint spotting. Prelims and endpapers slightly foxed, otherwise very good.
