Vanessa Bell (1879-61) was a central figure in the Bloomsbury group. She was the sister of Virginia Woolf and wife of Clive Bell, and lived at Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex with her husband and the artist Duncan Grant. This book features over 600 of Bell’s letters spanning more than 70 years, addressed to recipients including Virginia Woolf, Clive Bell, Duncan Grant, Roger Fry and Maynard Keynes. The letters have been arranged chronologically and into sections, each of these introduced with biographical context. This is an out of print title, in very good condition with the original dust jacket. The jacket itself has some scuffing to it’s edges and a slight tear at the front, top left corner.
