Myfanwy Piper’s important study of Stone’s wood engravings. Illustrated with more than 100 examples of his work are shown, including many engravings executed for private commissions and limited editions which have not previously been available to a wide public. Inscribed by Reynolds Stone to front endpaper: ‘With best wishes 8 august 57 Reynolds Stone’. Condition: some light wear to extremities of dust-wrapper. Endpapers lightly toned. Assorted newspaper clippings relating to the artist glued onto both front and rear endpapers and front pastedown and verso of half-title page.
