Hardback.  Decorated boards.  Second Edition.  174 illustrations.   Binding strong.  Pages Clean.  No highlighting, inscriptions or underlining.  Written to curry favour with Sutherland rather than through admiration for his work, Cooper’s study includes chapters on: Graham Sutherland’s Artistic Personality and Achievements, The Landscape Years: 1921-45, The War Artist: 1940-45, and The Post-War Years (Religious Subjects etc).  Condition: Boards a little edge-worn with some yellowing to front and rear panels.  Light creasing to top and tail of spine.  Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown.  Light foxing to top edge of title-page, otherwise very good.
