The Land in Between surveys Schulz-Dornburg’s photographs from 1980–2012, focusing on landscapes and sites across the geographical and political borderlands between Europe and Asia. Her subjects include the abandoned Ottoman railway in Saudi Arabia, Soviet-era bus stops in Armenia, the marshlands of Iraq, Palmyra in Syria, and landscapes in Georgia, Iran and Yemen.
