Domestic Architecture: Containing a History of the Science, and the Principles of Designing Public Edifices, Private Dwelling-Houses, Country Mansions, and Suburban Villas; with Practical Dissertations on Every Branch of Building, from the Choice of the Site, to the Completion of the Appendages. 

Also includes observations on rural residences and the laying out of grounds. Illustrated with sixty-three plates. 30 x 23cm. Original brown cloth boards with a gilt vignette of a cottage to the centre of the front cover. Blind-stamped decorative border.

Condition: Boards faded and heavily rubbed, with some marking and heavy discolouration. Wear to extremities with small patches of loss to the cloth. Spine worn and faded, with some light frayign to top and tail. Some cracking to the front and rear hinges, with the webbing exposed. Rear hinge is split from the top edge to approximately halfway down the book, resulting in the rear board becoming loose. Spotting to the endpapers and frontispiece, with slight tanning to the edges of pages.
