A 3D advent calendar designed by the British printmaker Alice Pattullo for Art Angels. Inspired by London’s historic Frost Fairs, when the Thames froze solid enough to host skating, sledging and nine-pin bowling on the ice, alongside stalls selling gingerbread and hot spiced ale.
Printed ephemera from the fairs provided Alice with lists, illustrations and maps of the entertainments held on the ice, as well as a reference for the riverside architecture behind them.
Packed flat in a compostible bag, with an envelope for posting.
