Hardback.  First Edition.  Housed in a striking dust-jacket designed by Harold Jones. The story of a series of men who conjecture upon the possibility of the human race being altered, by genetic modification, by Martians to replace their own dying planet.  No highlighting, inscriptions or underlining.  Binding strong.  Condition: Lacks front end-paper.  Price-clipped dust-jacket a little edge-worn with some small segments of loss to top and bottom of spine.  Light pinkish mark to dust-jacket’s rear panel.  Black cloth boards lightly shelf worn with two small red dot sized marks to top of spine.  Edges slightly foxed and some very minor foxing to a few pages.
