Hardback.  First edition.  A summary of the ideas and buildings of the period before the French Revolution with particular reference to the roots of modern architecture. The author redefines the relationship between architecture and society during the period and looks at the reactions of contemporary architects.  Condition: light creasing to edges of the dust-jacket, otherwise very good.
