Catalogue for an important show of Stephenson’s abstract art at Birmingham Art Gallery in 1978. Essay by Andrea Rose, Deputy Keeper of Art at Birmingham. Signed by Stephenson to title page. Loosely inserted letter from Dennis Farr, then director of the Birmingham Art Gallery, to Andrea Rose, in which he proposes three of Stephenson’s pictures for possible purchase by the gallery and asks Rose to make her selection. Condition: covers worn to edges and corners, otherwise very good.
