Bernard Reynolds was a man – and an artist – very much of his time. His upbringing was strict, yet instilled in him a deep love of nature and art. Indeed, if he was without a sculpture project of some kind, even for a short time, he felt uncomfortable. For Bernard, family life with Gwynneth, the children and grandchildren, and his social life within a large, varied circle of friends. was not conducted entirely separately from art. Right up until his death in 1997, he was proposing and working on new ideas for sculpture, and delighting in drawing from life. Pat Hurrell is a lecturer in Visual History and Theory in Photography at University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich. Condition: very good.
