Curated by Billee Sellman, Damien Hirst and Carl Freedman, Modern Medicine marked a pivotal moment in the development of the Young British Artists (YBAs) movement. Held in a disused biscuit factory in London’s Bermondsey area, this exhibition gained attention for its raw, unpolished approach, showcasing works that would later become iconic. It included Hirst’s now-famous piece, A Thousand Years, a glass case with a decaying cow’s head and flies, which highlighted his fascination with death and life cycles. Scarce. Condition: near fine.
