Founded in 1988 by editor Kevin Ring, Beat Scene has remained a niche yet highly regarded publication within literary circles, focused primarily on the writers associated with the Beat movement, such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, Gregory Corso, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and others.
