Steinlen’s Cats: Bronzes, Paintings and Drawings (2002)

Catalogue for an important show at The Sladmore Gallery in 2002 of Theophile Steinlen’s bronzes, drawings and paintings of cats. The Swiss-born Steinlen made his name with his ‘strking poster of 1896 for Aristide Bruant of the avant-garde cabaret Chat Noir. 28 items catalogue. Full-page illustrations in colour. Condition: a couple of minor marks to top and bottom edge of front panel, otherwise fine.
