Christopher Wood (1901 – 1930)

Christopher Wood was a British post-impressionist painterborn in Knowsley near Liverpool.Wood was inflenced by modern british painter Augustus John when he attended Liverpool University and later went on to continue his studies as a painter in Paris where he met Picasso and Jean Cocteau amongst others.

The Christopher Wood painting Lemons in a Blue Basket is part of the permanent collection at Pallant House Gallery.
