Elizabeth Blackadder
Elizabeth Blackadder (1931-)
Born in Falkirk in 1931, Elizabeth Blackadder is one of the best known and respected scottish artists at work today in the British Isles. A painter in oils and watercolours, as well as a prolific printmaker (etchings and lithographs), her work ranges through still life, landscape and flower painting.
Blackadder has exhibited in London and elsewhere since the early 1960’s and is the first worman to be elected to both the Royal Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy.
