Jonny Hannah

Jonny was born in Dunfermline, Fife. After studying illustration at Liverpool Art School and later the RCA Jonny has gone on to become one of the Uk’s most celebrated Illustrators. Taking his influences from a range of eclectic sources, Jonny has explored a unique mix of folk tales, jazz, Americana and pop culture to create a personal vision of the world. Developed through an exciting use of printmaking techniques Jonny’s prints can inspire, delight and unsettle in equal measures.

He has been working both as a commercial designer & illustrator (his clients include The Daily Telegraph, The New York Times & The St. Kilda Courier) and printmaker, creating wonderful screen printed books, posters and prints for his own Cake & Ale Press.

Jonny’s book ‘Greetings from Darktown’ was published by Merrell in October 2014.
