Hardback.  First edition. Original blue cloth boards with silver vignette of a rabbit to bottom right corner of front panel.   ‘This is the most comprehensive catalogue of Beatrix Potter material ever to have been published.  It covers in detail the bequests of Leslie and Enid Linder, amounting to more that two thousand items and including work in a variety of different media and by various members of the Potter family.  Watercolour sketches, finished drawins, first editions, original letters and juvenilia show the wide range of Beatrix Potter’s own work, while her parents and brother also provide evidence of artistic talent.  The Catalogue is based on the handwrittern volumes compiled by Leslie Linder for his own use, but the entries have been modified to conform with current bibliographical and print room practice.  The work has been illustrated throughout with relevant items from the collection, some of which have never previously been reproduced’.  Condition: Dust jacket a little shelf-worn with a small dent to top right corner of rear panel, otherwise very good.

Profusely illustrated in colour and in black and white. A fine copy in a near fine dustwrapper.
