Blue Jug Print by Blanche Lazzell

This was acquired by the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1919 – the first of Lazzell’s prints to be purchased by a public collection. It was chosen as amongst the best works in the first American exhibition of woodcuts  – Wood Block Prints in Color – held in the same year at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
