Cecil Collins (1944) A single folded sheet card catalogue for a war-time show of Collin’s visionary figurative work at the Lefevre Gallery in 1944. “Born in 1908, Cecil Collins belongs to the younger generation of contemporary English painters, and his work represents some of the newest developments of poetic painting in England.” 50 item catalogue, including some of Collin’s most important works. Condition: some slight foxing, otherwise very good.

Exhibition of Paintings and Drawings by Cecil Collins (1935): single folded sheet catalogue for an early show of Collin’s visionary figurative work at the Bloomsbury Gallery in 1935. “I am opposed to contemporary sterile geometric art with its tyrannical cultural snobbery” writes Collins in his short introduction. 56 items listed. Condition: very good.
