Ivon Hitchens, one of the most enduringly popular modern British artists, was also one of the most prolific. This exhibition encouraged a close reading of particular pictures and an understanding of the character and variety within his art. The exhibition focused on a small number of the great landscape and flower paintings, with works of the 1940s being central.
