‘Preparations for D-Day’ Print by Richard Eurich

Richard Ernst Eurich was an English painter who worked as a war artist to the Admiralty in the Second World War and produced a number of panoramic seascape paintings. ‘Preparations for D-Day’ depicts the naval forces massing together on the South Coast before D-Day, the air operation which resulted in the allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control.
