A horde of previously unsold copies of this famous lithograph were recently unearthed by our buyer.

The prints are in fine condition and look like they have never seen the light of day since their publication in 1941.


A large original 1941 lithograph by Edward Ardizzone of the Tilbury shelter in Stepney, produced during his time as an official war artist.

Printed by the Baynard Press, London and published by the National Gallery.
