Documenting the bombing of Nagasaki. Text by Tamaki Motoi plus interviews with survivor. Text in Japanese. Tomatsu’s haunting images such as a wristwatch stopped at the moment of detonation, warped glass, and survivors’ faces with keloid scars. Tomatsu described Nagasaki as having “two times”: the moment of the bombing (11:02 a.m.) and the long aftermath during which suffering continued—and both must not be forgotten.
