A variant on our other Guinness Lithograph, this print includes the text ‘A Guinness Lithograph’ at the bottom.
‘The Darts Champion by Barnett Freedman, inspired by the Guinness Book of Records… A Guinness lithograph’ was part of a series of Guinness posters issued in 1956 (the Second in 1957). The Guinness series was printed at Curwen, and popular artists of the day took as their subject an aspect of the Guinness Book of Records. These lively prints were designed for display in pubs, bars and canteens.
