We are in one of the famous greenhouses – this one growing cacti, cycads and succulents. The plants tower above the heads of our lederhosen clad father and son who stand and stare in open appreciation at these outsized animated forms. As so often, Sasek chooses to depict the size of these plants whimsically – not with scientific accuracy, but as a child might experience them.
