“With love to Eileen & Joseph and may we meet again in the near future” Peggy 1944, New York
Eileen Agar sent some gouaches to Peggy Guggenheim in New York in 1943. She wanted them to be included in the exhibition of surrealist art that Guggenheim was holding. Joseph Bard visited the next year and the book was presumably given to him then. Unique copy – unfortunately has suffered from some damp which has affected the corners of the pages.
