The New Vision Series is devoted to the forms of today, and the fresh outlook with which, aided by the camera, we survey machines, the work of men, and nature. About a hundred illustrations in photogravure to each volume have been selected and arranged with a view to vivid presentation. In this book Le Corbusier, who has given a new impulse to architecture, sees the airplane as a social force, indicating its effect on, and connection with, the city dweller. “Suddenly, by the effort of a generation and the cumulative effect of the discoveries of the century, we have been endowed with THE BIRD’S EYE VIEW”. Scarce in original dust-wrapper. Condition: wrapper lightly spotted and edge-worn with some segments of loss (see photos). Spotting to endpapers, pastedowns and prelims. A few small indentations to half-title and title page. Some faint spotting to edges of text-block, otherwise very good.
