1938 reprint of Read’s classic work on the most recent trends in modern painting. Housed in a striking E. McKnight Kauffer designed dust-wrapper. Previous ownership signature of the designer and husband of artist Duffy Ayres, Eric Ayres. Condition: Black cloth boards a little creased to top and bottom of spine. Dust-wrapper lightly worn to edges and re-enforced with archival brown tape, otherwise very good.
