Printed and tipped-in colour and black illustrations.  Limited to 300 copies, this being one of only 260 quarter bound in cloth with marbled paper covered boards.  A brilliant in-depth study of the life and work of the superbly gifted wood engraver and book illustrator, Joan Hassell.   Condition: previous owner’s book plates to the front endpapers of both volumes.  Slipcase a little marked, otherwise near fine.
