From the library of Ronald Blythe.
A small collection of verses by the Victorian poet Edward FitzGerald, edited by the author Victor Bridges. According to a note tucked inside the cover, this book was purchased by a Mr Hart from a posthumous auction of FitzGerald’s possessions. It was then given to Vincent Burrough Redstone, a Suffolk historian noted for his study of Hueguenot settlement in Suffolk. After coming into the posession of the British composer Paul Fincham, it was given to Ronald Blythe. (Blythe and Fincham were likely associated via the Aldeburgh festival.)
Good condition, extensive foxing to pages and some browning and mould to poetry broadside tucked inside rear cover.
