Inside, you’ll find attached booklets, including one by Jean Cocteau (“A Letter to America”). As well as Jean Cocteau it includes contributions from W. H. Auden and Tennessee Williams. It also delves into the luxurious Paris home of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor, showcases the iconic Glass House by Philip Johnson, and introduces the reader to the work of Lucian Freud. The cover, graced with a cut-out and gold wing by René Gruau, encapsulates the just the kind of glamour and artistic flair that Fleur Cowles sought when she began the magazine.
