Number 91 of only 100 copies, hand-set and printed by Geoffrey Wakeman at the Plough Press. Survey of nineteenth-century colour printing techniques, illustrated with 17 original specimens of colour illustration, tipped in or mounted throughout. Signed and numbered by Wakeman. Includes examples of the Baxter process, chromolithography, relief printing and nature printing. Cloth spine with hand made paper boards. Some pamphlets and empherma printed at the Plough Press loosely inserted. Condition: Staining to front board. Light bubbling to the lower right-hand corner of the front pastedown, with slight cockling to the first few pages. Light rubbing to cloth spine. Otherwise internally clean and sound.
