“Lysistrata” is a comedic play written by the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes, first performed in 411 BC. It tells the story of women from Athens and Sparta who, tired of the ongoing Peloponnesian War, withhold sex from their husbands to force them to negotiate peace. With illustrations by Pablo Picasso. Condition: previous owner’s signature and ownership stamp to front endpaper. Some light wear to slipcase, otherwise very good.
