Out of One Eye: The Photography of Jimmy Forsyth

Since the early 1950s, photographer Jimmy Forsyth has tramped the streets of his adoptive Tyneside in search of subjects – people, events, places.

This is the work of an insider, an ordinary man observing the community in which he lives. His photgraphs celebrate the vitality of humanity of Tyneside in transition, and are unique in their passion and authenticity.
