Pauline Boty (1938 – 1966), one of the relatively few female artists associated with Pop, was a key member of the British Pop Art movement.

In this book, Sue Tate explores in detail the vibrant body of paintings and collages that Boty left behind and discusses the important contribution that she made from a female perspective to what was a very male dominated genre. It includes previously unpublished material gleaned from Boty’s friends and family and reveals the woman behind the artist.

This is the first and long over-due comprehensive publication devoted to Pauline Boty’s work and looks to re-position her within art historical narratives.
