Pablo Picasso and Alberto Giacometti have, each in their own way, overturned aesthetic conventions in the fields of painting and sculpture. This book highlights a little-known friendship and dialogue, as well as the formal questions that are common to them. The authors’ expertise sheds light on these links, supported by unpublished documents. An anthology of historical texts also allows us to compare the views that their contemporaries had on their works, while a constellation represents the artistic network shared by the two artists. More than a hundred reproductions establish the correspondences between the works and reveal the studios of Picasso and Giacometti. Condition: light shelf-wear to boards.
