Roy Lichtenstein: Landscapes in the Chinese Style” is a comprehensive catalogue published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibitions at Gagosian galleries in Hong Kong and New York. This series, created between 1991 and 1997, showcases Lichtenstein’s reinterpretation of traditional Chinese motifs and styles, particularly inspired by Song Dynasty landscape paintings. Using his signature techniques—vivid colors, hard-edged lines, and Benday dots—Lichtenstein created works that blend Western pop art aesthetics with Eastern artistic traditions.
