This book reproduces the complete series of 27 paintings in colour. The text is by Robert Melville who has drawn upon contemporary documents relate the story in detail.  Signed by Nolan and dedicated by him to a former editor at Thames and Hudson. Condition: slight spotting to endpapers and edges of text-block. Light dust marks to rear panel of dust-jacket, otherwise very. Pat Lowman was the main book designer and editor at Thames & Hudson in the 1960s and 1970s. She was good friends with Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Oskar Kokoschka and with many other major artists of the period.
